    VirtualMiner shields both the end user and the application developer (collectively, the user) from the statistical complexity of data mining. The traditional decision support element -- namely, reporting, charting and querying -- are augmented automatically with relevant hidden patterns using Virtual Gold's patent-pending VirtualMiner technology. Since the augmentation is done automatically, the situation is no different for the user than working with any other charting/reporting/querying package without data mining.

  • Easy to use
    VirtualMiner is designed specifically for non-technical users without any previous data mining experience. The web-based interface is intuitive and customizable. Data mining results are presented in tables, graphs and English statements, thus allowing for easy interpretation by the business decision-maker.

    In addition, VirtualMiner provides a web-based WYSIWYG tool that can be used by non-technical users for developing sophisticated web-based, enterprise wide, data mining enabled business intelligence applications very rapidly.

    Users with access to their data can set up reports/charts/dynamic query applications very rapidly. Typical end-to-end time to develop and deploy a sophisticated business intelligence application using the VirtualMiner approach is one to four person weeks.

  • Scalable
    VirtualMiner can be made to find hidden patterns in decreasing order of their business impact. In other words, additional patterns found by upgrading hardware or by allocating more compute time are likely to have less business impact than the initial patterns that are discovered. Consequently, VirtualMiner works well even with low-end hardware platforms. It also allows customers to establish a point of diminishing returns beyond which investment in hardware or compute time is not necessary.

    VirtualMiner is Java/XML-based server software that is 100% web-based as opposed to client-server. It runs on any hardware platform that supports Java Virtual Machine. Being web-based eliminates the need of any client side installation. Any user with access to a web browser can create and use sophisticated data mining enabled business intelligence applications.
